Going Upriver

I am troubled about the possible airing of a bullshit anti-Kerry "documentary" two weeks before the election. These Sinclair owned stations are making FOX News appear almost fair & balanced. The righties will do anything and everything they can to win, legal & otherwise. It makes me want to throw up.

If they are able to get this crap aired, it would be only FAIR to broadcast Fahrenheit 9/11 or Going Upriver at the same time on the same number of stations in the same markets.

What is it going to take to wake the rest of the country up to the fact that this administration is the worst in our country's history? Who knows, maybe they are slowly coming around. The polls are looking good.

Yes, the GOP really will do just about anything. I believe Sinclair knows that what they're doing isn't legal, but the FCC probably can't do anything about it until after the elections. They have a kind of "in your face/anything goes" attitude that seems to trickle down from those they support. I view it as an "abuse of power" issue. I posted a couple of extensive thoughts on the Sinclair movie thing on my blog this morning. The whole business really is nauseating. The polls look good now, and I just hope more and more people will continue to see that whatever the GOP is trying to do at this point is nothing more than power-grabbing b.s.

I must say, here in my conservative Marine town, there is way more Kerry support than I ever thought I'd see. Old grizzled men wearing Kerry buttons, young shaved head Marine guys stopping to sign up to donate to the Democratic Party.

Anyway, back to the issue at hand. I'm a little troubled, too. Who do you think would air F 911? Who would have the balls? If it's only on cable, the people who really should see it might miss it.

BTW, Michael Moore is here tonight in San Diego. Hard to get tickets. Wish I could go.

Yeah, we just got the news about that in New Zealand.
Essentially its the old turkey dressed as ham, make an
'Attack u mentary' and dress it as valid journalism.
The Sinclair group has a history of one sided conservatism, at least the left allows dicussion.
Hopefully the media tzars in the Kerry camp wade into this one with salted knuckles and shut down these proxy attacks.
