How I feel about a "Non-Binding Resolution"
The Republican-drafted resolution declares “that the United States must complete ‘the mission to create a sovereign, free, secure and united Iraq’ without setting ‘an arbitrary date for the withdrawal or redeployment’ of U.S. troops,” as The Washington Post reports today. Further down in the story, we learn that “the votes will not bind the administration …” to action.
Translation: a non-binding resolution is a whole lot of nothing. Is this what we voted for last November? Is this really the best we can do? Definitely NOT.
Come on, Senators, show us what you've got...or you will pay the price in the next election cycle, too.

It's not what I voted for - I voted for oversite, investigation and impeachment.
This leads to none of the three.
Another throw the bums out election won't improve the situation - but a nationwide general strike or two might.
A general strike...I like that.
Hmmm impeachment still sounds good!!
"Show us what you've got" -- careful what you wish for, it won't be a pretty sight. There are 2 major bodyparts missing, sure you wanna look??
This Democratic Congress makes nicer noises than their predecessors, but I haven't seen any real changes so far.
Tom, I know the body parts you're referring to, and yes, I wanna see them (ok, maybe not literally.)
I haven't seen any real changes yet either, but there is still time.
Damien, that is the ultimate goal.
Congress (ie Business) will take notice of a general strike, and the President's (Cheney)reaction to it.
The old "Power to the People" slogan needs to come back.
Apathy isn't the enemy, it's the enemies prime tool.
