Very, very cool! Harmonicas can add so much to a band's sound. Our group is probably going to add a harmonica player who also sings very nicely and plays a good acoustic rhythm guitar. However, with the loss of our lead guitarist and vocalist Mark, we are still in need of a guitarist who can play signature riffs and leads. SO... we're looking at becoming a six-piece band! Whee.... Bands are so much fun! I hope the Hard Left continues to find good fortune, because they are a very good band which deserves the notice it is getting!
That's great. Boy, to have the Kinks, Andy Partridge and Tom Petty all mentioned in your article is quite a tribute. It's definitely one of my favorite 2006 cds.
Our gutiarist/vocalist guy is no longer playing with us because he has had some family problems (custody issues re. his daughter) and needs the time to tend to his priorities. He's a great guy, and I am already missing the heck out of him. His daughter told me that he recently went to NY to learn more about how to promote himself and maybe get hired as a narrator... he does have a GREAT speaking voice. Anyway, he just hasn't been able to commit wholeheartedly to a majority of our gigs during the past six months. We all understand, he has to put his life and the welfare of his daughter first. Now comes the unfun matter of finding a replacement.
I had a great childhood, however when I was around 14, I started losing my way. I got my life back at 29 and now have 17 years of semi-sobriety. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with OCD after a lifetime of odd behavior. Politically, I consider myself a far/hard left liberal who will fight against the right wing to my dying day.
This blog endorses Barack Obama for re-election in 2012.

Thanks, guys! Yes, it is a very nice tribute.
Snave, Why did your lead guitarist/vocalist leave?

I'm sorry to hear that. I enjoyed watching and listening to him on the stuff you sent me. He was good. I wish you the best of luck in replacing him.
