Sorry for your loss. Things like this are always really sad. One of our cats died of old age more than a year ago, and we were really devastated even though it was from natural causes.
Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that. I love birds! They are just the sweetest little things. My first budgie was named Skookum. I was four when we first got him. He was a member of the family. (I have a lovebird now named Lisa.) Take care and come back when you can, dear heart.
I'm back again Lizzy, I'm going off topic, so please don't hold it against me. I've changed my template at Let's Talk and would like your input about how it looks on your browser. I use IE7 and everything looks OK. but to be on the safe side, I'm asking others with different browsers to have a look see, when you have the time. Thanks!
I have had a number of parakeets throughout my life; when I was little, again when I was in college, and again now. They are great little critters, and I love the sounds they make. Our current two are a rescue, and they are scared to death of people... but we treat them well. They bring cheer to our house, even if they are so noisy sometimes we have to go into the other room to talk on the phone, and even if we have to turn the TV way up to hear it over their chatter! I love 'em.
I hope Little Bird didn't hurt too much. Animals are so pure and innocent and they deserve the best, as do you. Take care, keep fond memories.
A couple of days off, try my month and a bit for a break. Poor little thing we used to have a Cockatiel for years and years, great pets (alot quieter than most people think).
It's been very quiet around here without Little Bird, but we're getting used to it. Tom wanted to go out and get another one, but I decided to go without any more birds, at least for a while.
I don't think she was in any pain at the end, Snave. It would have been worse if she had died naturally.
I had a great childhood, however when I was around 14, I started losing my way. I got my life back at 29 and now have 17 years of semi-sobriety. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with OCD after a lifetime of odd behavior. Politically, I consider myself a far/hard left liberal who will fight against the right wing to my dying day.
This blog endorses Barack Obama for re-election in 2012.

Who Hijacked Our Country
Sorry about the loss of your bird Lizzy. I had to go through the same thing with my birdie a while back.
Very sorry indeed. Budgies are awesome.
