Today is the Day for "Sicko"
Friends,
This is it! Two years in the making! The day that our new film, "Sicko," arrives in theaters all across North America! Click here to see where the nearest one is to you.
After you go, let me know what you think. Oh, and send us a photo or a video from your cell phone to show us what it looked like at your theater. We'd love to post a photo from each of the 440 movie theaters showing "Sicko."

Here's what this morning's review in the L.A. Times said: "It's likely his most important, most impressive, and most provocative film." Okay, what do they know? I prefer to trust the assessment of E! Television Online: " 'Sicko' - the best movie ever? Maybe." Maybe? MAYBE?! When will they ever give me a break?
It's been a weirdly funny week. First Larry King bumped me for Paris Hilton. Then today, when CNBC invited me to the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for an interview, the stock exchange said I was barred from the building. On top of that, Tony Blair is gone, Cheney says he's no longer answerable to anyone's elected government, and I simply don't want an iPhone. Just another week in America.
Hope you enjoy the movie!
Yours,
Michael Moore

Note from Lizzy:
When the film was leaked on the Internets, I have to admit that I couldn't resist downloading it. However, my better judgement got the best of me and I didn't watch it. I would much rather see the film on the big screen with like-minded people, than watch it alone, sitting in front of a 19 inch monitor in my office for 2 hours.
Plus, I'm more than happy to give Michael Moore and his crew my $8.

I live out in the boondocks so it'll probably take awhile for the movie to get here. But I'm looking forward to it. If Moore is able to bring out this much hatred from the Rightwing Smear Machine, he must be doing something right.
Who Hijacked Our Country
I am in total agreement with Tom, that Moore is doing some good things if he can incite such anger from the right wing.
I checked for listings, and the two closest theaters showing the movie are in Walla Walla, WA (about 90 minutes drive from here) and Boise, ID (about 2 3/4 hours drive). A day trip to Walla Walla for a matinee may be in order when Kit is off work next week. Otherwise, we will be in Portland during the later part of July and I know it will still be playing there by then.
We decided not to go on opening night because of the long lines. We're going to see it during the week.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this film, I do think its disgusting that a vapid drunken heiress bumps Moore from Larry Kings show, what a Hack.
I seem to sleep whenever I go to the movies now, so it's best that I wait until the DVD comes out.
Elvez, Oh come on... you don't think a vapid drunken heiress is more important than our health care system? America seems to think so. : (
Let's Talk, That happens to me sometimes, too. Must be an age thing.
Wev'e only heard good things about I usually wait for the DVDS to hit the shelves but I'll take the time out for this gem.
Making plans, but first I've got to see Ratatouille!
