Hey, have fun! Have you ever been to NYC? I was there for a few days in 3/00 with my older daughter when we went on a school field trip... so it was more like a tour, with little time to just kick around and explore. Virgin Records in Times Square was like some kind of Mecca. I loved the energy in the city, the people were friendly, the whole experience was fascinating. It will be fun to hear what you're doing and about the fun you're having! Enjoy!
I was born in Brooklyn. I moved to MN when I was 2. Other than my sister, all of my family lives in NY, so I've been here many, many times. When I was a kid, we came out every year for a couple weeks.
post us some pictures of those towers Bush and Rudolph Giuliani promised to rebuild and didn't.
I haven't been in NYC since 86 but I went to school there in the mid late 70s (It may have been a reverse exchange with all the city kids that went to Ithaca and Geneva.)
I had a great childhood, however when I was around 14, I started losing my way. I got my life back at 29 and now have 17 years of semi-sobriety. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with OCD after a lifetime of odd behavior. Politically, I consider myself a far/hard left liberal who will fight against the right wing to my dying day.
This blog endorses Barack Obama for re-election in 2012.

This is the first time I've been back in 5 years.
It's a wonderful city.
I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.
Isn't there a place in Minnesota called Brooklyn Park? I think that's where Al Franken grew up.
Al Franken grew up in St. Louis Park...just like me!
