It's Official: Al Franken for US Senate

My Uncle Richard (and sometime contributor to this blog) suggested that I volunteer for Franken's campaign.

The only person I've ever considered volunteering for was Paul Wellstone. Now there is another.

He's got my vote.
I can vote for him even though I live in Georgia, right?
Check into it and let me know, if I can't the get Al to make non resident voting part of his platform.
I mean if machines can change and throw away votes without explaination - why shouldn't I be allowed to vote for a good man even if it is in another state?

Go Al!

I'm with 1138 on this one, for sure! I'll be behind Al Franken, all the way.

I have to believe he would have a fairly good chance of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate. I also have to like the prospect of him raising tough questions and of him also always voting his conscience. He would not only be a breath of fresh air, he would be a voice of sanity. With some occasional jokes, of course.

People who don't think he can be serious have never heard him on Air America, and they have never read "The Truth (With Jokes)"... Have you read that book? That part near the very end, where he goes through his list of "You can't count on them..." when referring to the GOP is fantastic.

I think Al will make mincemeat out of Coleman. A sense of humor can be a deadly weapon in a debate.

He's got 100% of my support, but I do think it will be a tough road to hoe for him.

Liberal districts like mine will be all over him, but areas like northern MN is going to be another story.

However, I do have high hopes. Minnesotans are known for picking oddball candidates. Remember Jesse Ventura?

1138, Oh how I wish you could vote for him, too.

Snave, I haven't read that one yet. Sounds like a must-read.

J, Yes, watching Franken take on Norm will be a delight. I wish you guys were here to see it happen.

Uber cool I think its the start, I guess you'll start seeing larger groups of high profile dems start hitting the hordings, hopefully.

Lizzy, You gotta volunteer! If I were there I'd do it. Didn't his mother sell your parents your house even? Go Al!

Yep. Al Franken's mom sold my parents our house.
