I've been having major stomach problems for well over a year now. I was supposed to have a colonoscopy last summer, but I couldn't drink that stuff. Hopefully there is something else they can do to diagnose this. I'm going to call my gastroenterologist tomorrow to see what they can do for me.
In the meantime, I'll be glued to MSNBC. Big day tomorrow. Go, Obama, go!!
Maybe I've devoloped an ulcer from the stress of being a political junkie....who knows.

I've been itching all over. I was wondering what I could possibly be stressed about, now that the move is over, and it dawned on me that it's the election!
Hey, a year is too long to let stomach problems go on, girlfriend. I remember you had trouble getting the liquid gunk down. But it's really worth the effort. They found (and removed) a polyp, the kind that would become cancerous in three years. Sometimes ya just have to put on yer big girl panties and get it done, y'know? Just sayin.
Could be just stress from the elections..maybe tune out for a week (after tonight) and see if that helps.
But do get yourself check out if you can...
Thanks Candace & Poli. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.
I literally couldn't get that stuff down, Candace, and I can usually drink anything.
Well, I don't know if this is similar, but I have Irritable Redneck Syndrome. Pelosi, Obama, and Clinton brought it on by condemning the Northrop Grumman/EADS tanker contract without reading a word of it or looking into the rationale behind the decision. I'm pissed.
I'll be drinking the stuff in about ten days... I have a colonoscopy/endoscopy on March 14. Good luck getting things taken care of!
As for the politics, should they find an ulcer in me, I'm done with it. I know how much it gets me all warped out, and seeing how CBS says Clinton won Ohio and is leading in Texas tonight, I'm feeling more than a bit edgy...
Humm, Irritable Redneck Syndrome....I'll have to see if they have a test for that, MC. I hadn't heard about the tanker contract. Thanks for the heads up.
Good luck on your tests, Snave. I hope you'll have better luck drinking that stuff than I did.
Update: Hill just won Texas. I need a break.
Hi Lizzy, I recall last year when you talked about stomach problems. I am sure glad you are going to visit your Doctor tomorrow.
If you can recall I did go ahead and had the colonoscopy last year because I was having stomach problems as well.
Four Polyps were found and removed and non was cancerous. I've now developed stomach problems again and I am now considering other test now.
Sorry to hear about your stomach problem. You might want to ask your Dr. about a miniture camera the size of a large pill. You swallow it and it sends video of your insides. This is very easy if you can swallow the large pill. Stays in your system about 6 hours before passing. Hope this helps. May be going that route soon myself. Ain't getting old just grand :)
LT, Thank you for your concern. I'm sorry you are having stomach problems again. What other tests are you going to have?
Demeur, Thank you for the tip! I'm definitely going to ask my doctor about that. That would work for me.
Update: I saw the doctor today. They are almost positive I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, but they won't know for sure until I have more tests. They are setting up a flexible sigmoidoscopy.
I asked the doctor and Demeur's idea of the small camera that you swallow (unfortunately) won't work for me.
Well, the symptoms of Irritable Redneck Syndrome are, and some may not always be present, a penchant for fried foods and pork fat, excessive weight around the middle, and anger over being treated like a third-class citizen by the media and/or major politicians because of your birth and residence south of the Mason-Dixon line. As you can see, I present as a textbook case.
I feel for ya, MC. I really do.
I see by the causes that you support that pro choice is there.Do you support my choice to opt out of a government health plan.Seeing what has happend already with the current"plan"ie:medicare, medicade,I don't see a high quality of service for the money spent.Fraud and waste are rampant within these government programs. If the goverment did not take all that they do,I could take care of my self and my family, without the need for these"entitlement programs"I do not want to pay for the people that make bad choices.Drug and alcohol and cigarettes cause numerous health problems. Our government collects billions of dollars making these things avalible to the general population, yet seems to take no responsibility for the consequences.Personel choices, personel responsability. Please don't take from me,I don't have much left.I can not afford to pay for all of those who would choose not to take care of themselves
