Happy New Year!

I wish everyone in bloggerland and beyond, a happy & healthy New Year.
Is 2008 finally going to be our year?

PS. I'll try to step up my blogging & commenting soon. I've actually been busy lately...which is very new to me! ; )

Only one candidate has my full support

...and it's none of these

I am amid the ranks of the undecided voters.

When people ask me who I'm supporting, my first answer is Kucinich, but things aren't looking so well for Dennis.

Due to his populist message and electability, I have a feeling that Edwards is going to come out on top. I'm very okay with that.

If Obama does well, that would be good, too. I also like Dodd.

If Hillary claws her way to the top, I might have to slit my wrists.

It will be interesting to see what shakes out from the Iowa & New Hampshire primaries.

The only candidate who has my full support is Al Franken for US Senate. I signed up to caucus for him on February 5th.

Over-run with smushy faces!

Beatrice, Brutus, & Marley

We're watching our friend, Mike's, pugs for a week. So, along with my French bulldog, Norman, and my pug, Stella, that's a total of 5 dogs!

Norman hates Marley, and Stella doesn't want anything to do with any of them.

It's utter chaos. If I'm not around much over the next week, you'll know why.

Here's a pic from last summer when the dogs "took sides"

Watch, and puke

...and some people wonder why I don't watch FauxNews

Dear activists, colleagues and friends,

Pardon the holiday interruption, but the bullies at FOX are at it again. This time, they are trying to get Senator Obama and Senator Edwards to buckle to their threats and accusations. The senators are standing tall, tough and strong.

We must encourage them to resist the name-calling and intimidation and refuse to legitimize the propaganda network.

Watch video of the attacks:

Then sign the open letter supporting their decision. You helped us beat FOX on the Nevada debates, and stopped the Detroit debate. Now it's time to take your email lists, your blogs, your radio and newspapers, and let the world know. We support strength. We support candidates who don't cave to the bullies.

Thanks for everything you do,
Robert Greenwald

P.S. We just redesigned
BraveNewFilms.org. In addition to being the home for the best political video on the web, we're now starting to do live events. On Monday we covered Senator Dodd's filibuster threat with Cenk Uygur hosting several experts explaining the situation as it unfolded. We'll have similar coverage of the January 3rd Iowa caucuses. So stay tuned!

Published.

I have a made a tough decision. I have decided to put college on the back burner and try to go pro with my photography and film making.

Thanks to my friend, Brian's, faith in me, one of my photos is about to be published in the City Pages, a Mpls newspaper. They are doing a blurb on his band, The Hard Left, and my photo will accompany the feature. (Dec. 26th edition)

I am taking my photography seriously. It may have taken 42 years, but I've finally found my niche. I hope I am supported by all in my decision. This feels right and sometimes you just gotta go with your gut.

Here's the photo:

Lone Gunman clip 03/04/2001

Watch this clip from Chris Carter's (the X-Files) short-lived series, "The Lone Gunman." Originally aired 03/04/2001.

Remember these quotes?:

Bush: No one could have conceivably imagined suicide bombers burrowing into our society and then emerging all in the same day to fly their aircraft - fly U.S. aircraft into buildings full of innocent people - and show no remorse.Never did anybody's thought process about how to protect America did we ever think that the evil-doers would fly not one, but four commercial aircraft into precious U.S. targets - never. But never did I dream we would have been under attack this way." -White House (09/16/01)

National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice: "
I don't think anybody could have predicted that...they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile," -CBS (05/17/02)

Air Force Gen. Richard Myers said.: "You hate to admit it, but
we hadn't thought about this" -DoD (10/23/01)

yeah, right.

a natural photog?

I love working with video, but lately I've been getting into photography. My old digital point & shoot had such limited potential, so I decided and get a digital SLR.

I bought the Canon Rebel XTi, and I absolutely adore it. I haven't taken a bad shot yet. It's like night and day compared to my old camera.

The store I bought it from offers classes in digital SLR & more. I'm going to take them up on that. I need to learn how to take pics indoors at night, without a flash. I see a fair amount of bands in clubs and would like to do them justice. This could be the start of something big for me.

Here's a few pics from the last 2 days:
