US Opposition Political Leaders Issue Urgent False Flag Terror Warning Warn of imminent plot to "orchestrate & manufacture a new 9/11 terror incident"

A group of former government officials along with current Congressional candidates, authors and activists has issued an urgent warning that a faction of the US government allied with Dick Cheney is planning to stage a terror event or provocation as a pretext for launching military attacks against Iran and implementing emergency powers in America.

Former US Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, along with former US Diplomat and Colonel in the US Army reserve Ann Wright have put their names to an open letter warning that massive evidence points to an upcoming event.

Current Congressional candidates Cindy Sheehan and Craig Hill are also among the signatories to the letter.

Here is the letter in full:

To the American people, and to peace loving individuals everywhere:

Massive evidence has come to our attention which shows that the backers, controllers, and allies of Vice President Dick Cheney are determined to orchestrate and manufacture a new 9/11 terror incident, and/or a new Gulf of Tonkin war provocation over the coming weeks and months. Such events would be used by the Bush administration as a pretext for launching an aggressive war against Iran, quite possibly with nuclear weapons, and for imposing a regime of martial law here in the United States. We call on the House of Representatives to proceed immediately to the impeachment of Cheney, as an urgent measure for avoiding a wider and more catastrophic war. Once impeachment has begun, it will be easier for loyal and patriotic military officers to refuse illegal orders coming from the Cheney faction. We solemnly warn the people of the world that any terrorist attack with weapons of mass destruction taking place inside the United States or elsewhere in the immediate future must be considered the prima facie responsibility of the Cheney faction. We urge responsible political leaders everywhere to begin at once to inoculate the public opinion of their countries against such a threatened false flag terror operation.

(Signed) A Group of US Opposition Political Leaders Gathered in Protest at the Bush Compound in Kennebunkport, Maine, August 24-25, 2007

CYNTHIA MCKINNEY, FORMER US CONGRESSWOMAN, GEORGIA CINDY SHEEHAN, CANDIDATE FOR US CONGRESS, CALIFORNIA CRAIG HILL, CANDIDATE FOR US CONGRESS, VERMONT GREEN PARTY BRUCE MARSHALL, CONVENOR, PHILADELPHIA PLATFORM JAMILLA EL-SHAFEI, KENNEBUNK PEACE DEPARTMENT WEBSTER G. TARPLEY, AUTHOR ANN WRIGHT, COLONEL US ARMY RESERVE, FORMER US DIPLOMAT DR. DAHLIA WASFI, WWW.LIBERATETHIS.COM GEORGE PAZ MARTIN JOHN KAMINSKI , PRESIDENT MAINE LAWYERS FOR DEMOCRACY

The letter was signed by the group at an anti war protest this weekend which saw four thousand march near the Bush family residence on Walker's Point in Kennebunkport.

The warning comes on the heels of a spate of recent news stories and reports indicating that "chatter" about a terror event. is at an all time high.

Further evidence that some form of event is imminent has emerged with strange stock market activity occurring just as did in the weeks and days preceding 9/11.

A mystery trader risks losing around $1 billion dollars after placing 245,000 put options on the Dow Jones Eurostoxx 50 index, leading many analysts to speculate that a stock market crash preceded by a new 9/11 style catastrophe could take place within the next month.

The Kennebunkport group have demanded the immediate impeachment of Dick Cheney in order to prevent any such activities coming to fruition.

Frankly, Cynthia McKinney has almost as many valid credibility issues as the very man whose questionable character she's impugning. How many times have the stock markets behaved strangely without a terror attack occurring? Frankly, the only "false flag" I see in this instance is the letter itself. I'm not saying it isn't so; I'm merely saying that I'm more than a bit skeptical.

Good find.

There is no doubt in my mind that if another terror attack occurs that the Bush Administration will exploit the tragedy to attack Iran by lying to the American People saying that "Ahmadinjead had a role" in the attack just as they lied about Saddam "having a roll in 9/11" in order to get public support behind invading Iraq.

the biggest threat facing the U.S. isn't terror, it's the Bush Administration which governs through fear and uses every means and opportunity possible to increase the power of the Executive Branch.

Poli, the signatories of the letter are not alleging opportunism; they're alleging conspiracy to commit an act of terror to gain a pass on foreign and domestic policy, and while the two may have similar ends, the means of the latter are far more heinous. Frankly, politicians behaving in an opportunistic manner is about as surprising as finding sand at a beach. The main differences between the Bush Administration and his predecessors, as well as the majority of the members Congress, are the utter lack of finesse and his predictability.

The most glaring problem I see with that letter is that, frankly, it gives Bush far more credit than he has proven he deserves. He's proven himself to be more an Inspector Clouseau than an Ethan Hunt.

As much as I admire Cindy Sheehan, I think this letter, citing "massive evidence," without producing said evidence is suspicious, at best.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's a plan already in play to get us into a war with Iran, but if there is evidence of it, the best thing anyone could do is bring it out in the open.

I'm all in on this one. They did it before, and they will do it again. Why are the dems in congress so spineless? They know it too.

I sure wish someone would step up the pressure on Cheney. He represents a huge danger to our country and to the world. This kind of thing, that is, allowing an attack to happen and then declaring martial law, wouldn't surprise me at all if it were to happen. I think there are some mighty strange days coming.

Well, I certainly do NOT admire Cindy Sheehan. I have a great deal of sympathy for her, for what she has lost, and for the way she has allowed others to use her. I know as well as anyone and better than some what kind of psychological toll the loss of a close loved one can do to a person, and for that, she has my deepest sympathy. She is right about the Iraq War, but she has become such a shrill voice against it that she has long since lost the credibility she once had, and this letter, without citing evidence as you said, Candace, is merely further proof of that.

Cynthia McKinney has her problems but she was right about this President. We fell for the slander and pressure the Republicans put on her and about her. Yes, she even helped as well, but the accusations she made about Bush turned out more true than not.

Cindy Sheehan goes overboard but it seems that she has saw through Bush and is one of the people who seems to be out their pushing his impeachment.

Has anyone ever notice, any person speaking ill of Bush and his Administration has been slandered and most of what they have been slandered with are now playing in the Democrats mouth. Some of us are looking ill to that person for whatever reason.... Republicans talking points (slander) rubbing off!

Good comments, everyone, but I'm with Poli, Undeniable Liberal, and Snave on this one. I wouldn't put anything past BushCo at this point.

They need to be impeached before they do anymore damage. Period.

To be frank, Ms. McKinney put out enough crap that, sooner or later, some of it was bound to be right. She's a wing-nut who has publicly praised one dictator (Fidel Castro) and one man who clearly has dictatorial designs (Hugo Chavez), and she slapped a Capitol Police officer for doing his job and used racist rhetoric in her defense and in other instances. This is not "Republican slander." This is public record, and as such, I give her the same credibility I give other racists: None. I don't despise Ms. McKinney for any "Republican talking points." I despise her for her own words.

My comments about Cindy Sheehan stand. I do have a great deal of sympathy for her, and I also agree that Bush and Cheney need to be impeached for the good of the nation. I also think there are probably a whole slate of others from both major parties who deserve the same, but again, Bush and Cheney are the greatest extant threats at this point.

Lizzy, again I agree with Candace that if they have "massive evidence", they should produce it and submit it to the public for further review and so that something useful like an impeachment hearing can occur. Otherwise, they look a bit like Senator Joe McCarthy when he was talking about communists. It isn't so much a matter of how little I or anyone trust Bush and his cronies, for he has well and truly lost the trust of an overwhelming majority of the United States electorate, myself included; it's a matter of critical thinking and forming an opinion based on evidence instead of conjecture.

This doesn't surprise me. Nothing would at this point. I wouldn't put anything past this administration.

Cindy McKinney's no more of a nut job than you are MC.
The main difference between the two of you isn't intelligence, or being right or wrong - the main difference is that she had a national platform a tweaked powerful noses, not little internet ones.

Well, and the fact that Cynthia McKinney is a racist, and I'm strongly anti-racist. I would certainly never stoop to the lows she does as a matter of course, and because I actually have ethics, that, above all else, separates me from Ms. McKinney.

My underlying political philosophy is something akin to, but not quite, "Let it burn," although I recognize and accept the necessity of some limited government. Hers is, "Let's do what gives me the most power and panders to my constituency." Said constituency is dwindling in number, a fact for which we should all be grateful. I have no designs to be a king. I don't want it, wouldn't accept it if it were offered, and have no use for one. She is a shrill bantam fowl who would be queen, whose antics are more akin to the laughable aggression of the bantam roosters than the gentleness of the bantam hens.

The one thing we share in common is that we are true to ourselves. I am exactly who I am, and she is exactly who she is, and it is her being herself that, rightfully, cost her a seat she had been defiling in the United States House of Representatives.
