At a loss

I feel bad that I haven't been blogging regularly lately, but to tell you the truth (politically) I'm at loss for words.

What more can be said about this president and what he's done to this country? Sure, the chickens are coming home to roost, but we still have 3 more years of this bastardization of an administration to contend with.

And, while I am very encouraged by the growing backbone of the Democratic Party, I don't have anything profound to say about it at this time.

Is it political burnout?

Today December 8th, is one of one of those dark anniversarys that I use to bolster my faith in humanity.
Not the 25th year since his murder, but the growing understanding of his spirit.

Its just that everything is coming so thick and fast, I'm just pissed that you'll have to put up with this crap for a few more years, well until Georgie gets his arse impeached anyway.

I know what you mean, Lizzy. It's hard to stay involved, especially this far away from a presidential campaign.

Three years can seem like an eternity when one thinks about how much more damage people like Bush and his buddies can do during that time... and it can seem like there is nothing anyone can do to stop such people when they control House, Senate and White House. On the other hand, we can't stop, we need to keep momentum going, because elections that are (IMHO) just as important as the ones in 2008 are happening less than a year from now.

I know it's tough to continue producing profundities after long stretches of doing just that (or attemtping to do it), but we have to keep hammering away. Otherwise, the terrori... oops, I mean otherwise the GOP wins.

Keep it goin', Lizzy! If you can't think of stuff to blog about, do what you can to help get new representatives elected in your home state, write letters to your reps in Congress and the Senate, attend local Democrat meetings, whatever! I know I have very little energy for such things as I'm dealing with two jobs and two teenagers and all kinds of financial hangups... but I've decided to help the local Democratic party more than I have been. They are working on ways to get our state legislature to work more efficiently. I know I tend to focus too much on the national political scene when it's fairly obvious that won't change too much until things change at state and local levels.

So, as Gilbert Shelton's underground comix character Oat Willie would say, "Onward through the fog!" 8-)>

You are too young to get burned out...
Stay a political junkie for awhile.
Even Democrats and Liberals need citics as they try to take back the country from the Right Wing Republicans who are making it into a Corporate haven and anti people.
Hang in there little girl.
