- I had a great childhood, however when I was around 14, I started losing my way. I got my life back at 29 and now have 17 years of semi-sobriety. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with OCD after a lifetime of odd behavior. Politically, I consider myself a far/hard left liberal who will fight against the right wing to my dying day. Is it because I am always 20 years behind the curve, or could this same picture be taken today of modern kids with very little difference other than that they would be more conservative today?
Well, actually, we got a lot of shit just for looking like that. Today, every kid has a green mohawk or their nose pierced. Just for having short hair and wearing stovepipe jeans and a leather jacket got me spit on and pelted with snowballs back then. Nothing is different anymore, or shocking.

I used to wear a sports jacket and tie to my high school, and that was in the early 90's.
