I have been far more entertained with family and with the arrival of Zeke lately than I have been with political garbage.
I think I'll keep blogging, but that I'll try to limit the politics to once or twice a week, and spend the rest of the time writing about music, animals, and other stuff I like.
And please, the fighting back from the inside thing doesn't cut it. That argument says we should all re register Republican and attend Church on Sunday and change the institutions of evil by paying them dues - while they wreak havoc on the world.
I just think you should be aware of what you are doing, the choice is of course yours, but I cannot join you.
Yes, I watch the Simpsons on FOX, and Nip/Tuck on f/x. Hell, I even subscribe to TV Guide, but I am still a true-blue liberal through and through -- and no one is going to take that away from me.
Well they were your questions, not mine - I was just explaining why I couldn't join you in your invitation.
I've set foot in a Wal Mart, back when they were made in America and actually improved and built communities, not destroyed them - back when Sam Walton was alive.
If you're giving money to Rupert by choice you're not as true blue as you want to believe you are.
Well first of all they aren't all red. UPS is at least a union operation as opposed to Fed Ex who is cooperating in busting the postal union.
My point is that your choices have an impact on the real lives of real people and that you have real choices, Myspace is one of those - there is not just Myspace and nothing else.
Thanks for discussing this with me Lizzy to the point where we could make this clear that I'm not mad at you, just not supportive of making a choice to support an organization that was critical in putting the Bush administration into power, keeping it there, and getting the wrong message out about the truth in everything.
Like I said, I just can't join you in your choice.
I had a great childhood, however when I was around 14, I started losing my way. I got my life back at 29 and now have 17 years of semi-sobriety. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with OCD after a lifetime of odd behavior. Politically, I consider myself a far/hard left liberal who will fight against the right wing to my dying day.
This blog endorses Barack Obama for re-election in 2012.

Oh wow, man, totally peace out. (Thanks for the flashback.)
:)
Enjoy your break. With the holidays coming up just about everyone needs a breather.
I know whuthca mean.

Enjoy your breather, don't stay away too long!
Thanks, guys. I knew you'd understand.
It's all gotten to be too much. I'm still watching Olbermann every night, but other than that, I'm staying away from it all for a while.
I will be back - I promise.
I'm in agreement, but I can't join you in the newscorp Rupert Murdoch owned product MySpace.
I just can't contribute to that mindset, even when the pretense is "free".
Do you watch the Simpsons, 1138?
No I don't Lizzy.
Do you contribute content to the Simpsons?
Ahhh, you got me there!
So, you never watch Fox or f/x?
No no fox fx atltv national geographic or tv guide
and I don't provide content to them either
I'm surprised you would - wearing the word liberal, but not living it.

Man, and I thought I was hardcore.

At least I've never stepped foot in a Walmart.

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a liberal that manages to avoid EVERY Fox, or red-contributing company.
UPS, GE, JC Penney, Ford, 3M, Conagra, Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, Target, Taco Bell, Wendy's, etc, etc, etc --they're all red.
I always try to give my business to the little guy, but sometimes shopping at some of the above is unavoidable. At least it is here.
"etc, etc, etc --they're all red."
Well first of all they aren't all red.

I know what you mean about taking a break. I've found the need from time to time. :)
