ah-choo!

The cold virus is running rampant in Minneapolis, and I got it. This always happens when the seasons change.

I'll be back when I'm feeling better.

Get well soon! Keep warm, lotsa chicken noodle soup and 7-up or so they say..

There are some cold medicines out there that can at least mask the symptoms and make you feel better if you need to funtion.

Hopefully you have some movie rentals to watch to help pass the time.

Get better soon, Lizzy!

And yes, chicken soup!

Thanks, guys. I've been loading up on Vitamin C, Zinc, and Echinacea. I think it's helping somewhat.

I'm also using OTC cold pills, but only if I'm going somewhere. Otherwise I stick with the natural stuff so my body can rid itself of this.

I do have many films to watch, but everytime I get into something, I fall asleep.

No chicken soup for me -- I'm a vegetarian! How about tomato soup?

Lizzy! I thought I was the only person that loaded up on Echinacea. Just be careful with it and don't take it for too long.

Sorry to hear about your cold get well soon.

the zinc really helps, and technicallym its all the other stuff in chicken soup that makes you better, onions are loaded with vita C, carrots have c, parsley has c and zinc, hot broth to clear your sinuses, and noodles to help fill you up and give you energy. I just take lots of zinc this time of the year. Bu now my poor little Lexi has a head cold.

Oh no, Lexi has a cold, too? I hope she'll be well enough by Thursday. I miss her little face!

Yep, I'm loading up on Zinc.

Hope the last week has allowed you to rest up!

I have felt like I'm getting something for the last few days, but thankfully, with lots of zinc, lots of laying around and lots of fluids, I seem to be holding it off. I hope I can... the next couple of days are going to be very busy. Sunday we drive Katie to school and back; that's a round trip to Portland, which = 530+ miles. At least Kit will be able to do some of the non-metro-area driving (she leaves all of that to me, because it doesn't bug me much at all). Monday is a work day, plus community concert band practice for a couple hours in the evening. Plus, this next week is kind of like a "dead week" of sorts in that I have to get all my student report cards written and in the teachers' mailboxes by Wednesday, have to get all new student referrals tested and enrolled by Friday, etc. Scheise. Time to go suck on another zinc lozenge.

On a totally unrelated subject, have you seen the movie "The Number 23"? Some good OCD stuff going on in that one... That's one of my obsessions, that is, the numerology stuff and the use of numbers in "magical thinking" episodes. Heh!

Hi-
I'll get to the point.
I wish I could sneeze regularly as i used to. I cannot. I go AHH but the CHOO does not usually follow. For every completed sneeze I manage there are hundreds of frustrating misfires. Am I the only one on earth with this problem? I have spent thousands of hours trying to research information about the inability to sneeze. It's not to be found. It is such a brutal O.C.D problem. It never leaves my mind. I am 59 years old and a very neurotic male with lifelong O.C.D. I have no medical conditions causing the sneezing problem.I am in very good health. No Dr.s have answers nor even any knowledge about not being able to complete a sneeze. I start to feel a sneeze coming on and then it aborts. Then I get depressed again. I have thought many times in the three years I have suffered from this condition that if I ever sneeze again I will stop worrying about it. That was many sneezes ago. I do sneeze regularly every month or so. It's the weirdest problem because no one knows anything about it. Thats because sneezing or not sneezing has no medical significance. Except to me. Google inability to sneeze and you will see me posted. I should be paid a lot of money to be studied I am also going crazy lately because I cannot stop checking the thermometer to see if my apartment is too cold. Just another day in O.CD hell.
