- I had a great childhood, however when I was around 14, I started losing my way. I got my life back at 29 and now have 17 years of semi-sobriety. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with OCD after a lifetime of odd behavior. Politically, I consider myself a far/hard left liberal who will fight against the right wing to my dying day. This blog endorses Barack Obama for re-election in 2012.

It's nice to know there are some good liberal dogs out there. Of our four cats, I think one may be a bit conservative, but the other three are definitely sympathetic to liberal causes.
What breeds are the two wonderful little liberal dogs in the picture?

Conservatives out there are going to hate to hear this, but my dogs told me that ALL dogs are liberals. Cats, on the other hand are a mixed bunch.
Snave, Stella is a black pug, and Norman is a French bulldog.
Thanks, OCD Gen-X Liberal! I have only cats, but I do also like dogs. Our cats are ages 10-13, and once they have departed this Earth, it may become Dog Time at our house. I had been leaning toward eventually getting a Boston until I saw the picture. Norman is a handsome lad. I was never sure what a French Bulldog looked like, but I have always enjoyed the way Johnathan Kellerman describes the "bat-eared" French Bulldog in his Alex Delaware mysteries. I know a couple of pugs in the town where I live, and they have great personalities. Too many pets, not enough time or space to own them all!
Snave, If & when you're ready to take the doggy plunge, let me know. I can be a great resource for info on the different breeds. My number one tip is to get 2 dogs. Since they are pack animals, they hate to be alone.
Since the pic was such a hit, there will be more to come.
