Kerry pulls ahead

Yes. It's true, it's really really true. I just heard it on my local news, and when I googled it, I found this: Kerry Gains Lead in Newsweek Poll Following Debate

Now, the question is, what are the Bushites going to do now? These are my top four October surprise predictions that Rove has up his sleeve:

1) Osama or another high ranking al Qaeda member will be caught/killed

2) A stockpile of WMDs will be "found"

3) Osama will be found sitting on top of the WMDs

or, the most likely:

4) The terror alert will go up

Even though there are a considerable number of bumpkins in this country I truly believe the public will call bullshit if the Bushies launch any kind of October Surprise. Especially anything involving Osama.

I was thinking the GOP might try something like a last-minute sex scandal, but they already tried the sex thing a while back and that got nipped in the bud immediately.

For quite some time I was thinking there would definitely be an October Surprise, but now I'm not so sure. If it's going to happen, I believe it will have to happen any day now for there to be any great impact on the election.

Also, I think it would be happening so late... that as J.Marquis suggests, Americans would see right through it and it might cause Bush some problems. If the GOP does try some stunt, I hope it blows up in their face!
