W, truly unfit for command

The CBS document scandal is being run into the ground. I guess it's easier for the media to focus on this story than it is to investigate the subject matter behind the documents. Yes, of course Dubya got special treatment. Yes, he disobeyed a direct order to get a physical, and yes, instead of fulfilling his duty in the National Guard, he was off doing other things. Now, with all of that being said, shouldn't the real question be, is this man truly fit to be the Commander in Chief of the most powerful country in the world? And, don't get me started on our "vice" (real) president. He only got 5 deferments, that's all.

Doesn't it make sense to have someone that has actually been IN a war, be the one that gets us out of this quagmire? I guess that makes too much sense.

I would like to hear from right-wing radio talk-show hosts who have served in the military (besides Oliver North, of course). Are there any? Those who didn't serve in Vietnam all seem to support the Iraq war in a huge way.

If what I have heard and read is true, Rush Limbaugh got out of serving due to a cyst on his rear end! I would imagine that if, like Bush, he hasn't had to experience the horrors of war first-hand, he might take it less seriously than those who have been there.

Kerry was there and he was in harm's way. He realized how horrible it was, and it changed his life. He came home and spoke his mind. He fought for our rights by fighting in a U.S. uniform, and the GOP wants to castigate him for exercising those rights when he came home? I believe he knows more about war than Bush or many other politicians... and he knows more about when and where it would be appropriate for the U.S. to go to war. I don't believe he would send our soldiers into harm's way for the sake of business interests, oil, or personal vendettas (unlike Bush and his cronies).

If Kerry voted for the Iraq war to begin with, could it be because he was MISLED BY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION, like so many of the other members of Congress and the Senate who voted in favor? Anyone who realizes they have been duped on an issue should be free to change their mind about it, without being harshly criticized.
