At least he got something on the air

I finally saw 2 new John Kerry ads on TV tonight. They are still not nearly strong enough, but at least he's trying (sort-of.)

I heard that General Norman Schwarzkopf is a Democrat. Maybe he'll step up for Kerry and put things in perspective for the masses. Wishful thinking, perhaps.

I finally let a family member in on my blog. Uncle R, if you are reading this, remember, be nice!

I don't know what polls to believe anymore. Bush was supposed to be up by 11 points right after their convention but I read today that his lead is pretty much gone and it's neck and neck again.

My theory is that the media finally got tired of harping about the Swift Boat guys and the Iraq situation is starting to really head south.

We can only hope.

No offense, Peter, but please go away. I get enough of the Bushite hateriots in my everyday life. This is one of the last places I can go where I still feel safe. I would be happy to engage with you anywhere else but here.

I am an extremely proud liberal, who writes for others of the same ilk. We don't lean to the left - we ARE the left.

There are plenty of other places where you can moon over your beloved smirking village idiot of a president, but not here.

PS. That "I'm a uniter, not a divider" thing really worked for Bush, huh.

Whether or not Bush leads in the polls, I remain confident that voters will wake up by November. If people seriously ask themselves if they are better off now than they were four years ago, or if the country is better off than it was then... the answer should be obvious. We are fighting a war in Iraq, the economy isn't actually growing, the separation of church and state is becoming blurred, real jobs aren't being created, etc. ad nauseum.

My main worry is that Bush will get all folksy and "everyman" in the debates, like he did when debating Gore, and people will get sucked into his shtick. If voters simply look at the issues and ignore the GOP fear machine, Kerry will prevail.

I'm sorry, Peter. I changed my mind. I took my frustrations out on you last night. You are welcome to post here, as long as you keep it friendly (unlike my first reply to you.)

Welcome to my world.
