If the election was today, Feingold would have my vote

From Think Progress.org:

Feingold Accuses Senate Democrats of “Cowering” To Bush

Sen. Feingold said the following to Fox News’ Trish Turner:

I’m amazed at Democrats, cowering with this president’s numbers so low. The administration just has to raise the specter of the war and the Democrats run and hide. … Too many Democrats are going to do the same thing they did in 2000 and 2004. In the face of this, they’ll say we’d better just focus on domestic issues. … [Democrats shouldn’t] cower to the argument, that whatever you do, if you question the administration, you’re helping the terrorists.

We so need new leadership in the Democratic party. Those bozos (Feingold and a few others aside) couldn't formulate a progressive agenda if their lives depended on it.

Feingold it is! Just please no Hillary. I like here right where she is...future head of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Feingold/Obama has a nice ring to it.

I'm with you there, kvatch. Hillary isn't the one. We need a Dem with a spine - not another panderer.

Kathleen, I'll gladly sign your petition, but I don't think there's any doubt that Russ will be running in '08.

For all you ultra liberals..another point of view..
I like Feingold. However, I think he picked the wrong platform here.
Most Americans don't care about this issue including the dems in the congress and senate. (about 10 do) If Bush and co. are intercepting phone conversations from possible terrorist groups abroad, that is ok in most Americans mindsets. This and the Patriot Act do impede our liberties, but this is a post 9/11 world. I feel Feingold should take a stance..but on a different subject..How about the borders?
