As for the weather observation, it would be the reverse here in La Grande, OR. We had sub-freezing temperatures for almost two weeks after getting close to a foot of snow. Yesterday, the temp got into the high 40's, creating streets that were little more than reservoirs of slush. We have been at 44-45 degrees for the last day now, and patches of lawn are beginning to emerge from beneath the white.
In order to avoid bad summer fire seasons, we need lots of snow around this area... but I must confess I truly hate the stuff. I admit it's pretty sometimes when it comes down slowly in huge flakes beneath the streetlight on our corner, but that's about as far as my enjoyment of it goes. Every year, as soon as we get our first snow, I find myself practically counting the days until the first day of Spring!
I'm with you on that one, I fell outta love with snow when I was in highschool 3 days having to walk through it during a camp was enough. Loving the poochies.
I had a great childhood, however when I was around 14, I started losing my way. I got my life back at 29 and now have 17 years of semi-sobriety. Many years ago, I was diagnosed with OCD after a lifetime of odd behavior. Politically, I consider myself a far/hard left liberal who will fight against the right wing to my dying day.
This blog endorses Barack Obama for re-election in 2012.

Is that their favorite spot?
They have many favorite spots. I would say that's their favorite late morning/mid-afternoon spot.
Now those dogs are the absolute picture of cuteness!

I know what you mean, Snave. I'm always happy when December 21 (today) rolls around because I know the days will start to gradually get longer.
I'm with you on that one, guys. I hate the cold & snow (don't ask me why I stay here...but I think being a blue state has a lot to do with it!)
